We've got more bounce in California than all y'all combined...

So our baseball team [DBU Patriots] made it to the NCAA Super Regionals.  Basically, we made DBU history.  The 2011 team is the first team that has ever made it to Supers and only the second team who has made it to Regionals! Here are a few pictures from my trip to Santa Clara, CA.

DBU was a big hit in the metroplex! Since we were having so much publicity, we thought it would be good to get an official background.  These are my boys [the guys that I work with] pretending to be important athletes.

I got my chance to be famous for about 5 seconds....

This is the charter the team got to fly out to Cali on.  Being the only girl in the office, I got voted to fly back to cover the office.  Guess who got to ride on this baby.. me! I'm a blessed girl.

Since I was technically at work, I had to report to the field 3 hours before the game. [welcome to my life Spring semester] This is a little BP picture.  GO PATRIOTS!

Thankfully, some of my best girl friends were able to fly out and come join the Cali fun!  This is Cara and Ash.  We were definitely the loudest fans... We were told that everything we said could be heard on ESPN! If you ask me, we're basically famous.

After the first game, instead of just going to dinner we took a mini roadtrip to San Fransisco!  How many times do you get to go to Cali for free?! Like one in a million years.  We took full advantage of our opportunities.  This is the Golden Gate [in the dark]

Since most of the crew didn't jump on our mini road trip caravan, we made a second trip after church.  San Fran is a whole different city in the daylight! This is one of the marinas.  If you look hard enough, you can kind of see a little of San Fran in the back.  It was chilly but beautiful!!

This the Alcatraz prison! It's famous for containing the most dangerous criminals in the US.  It's closed now but you can take tours of the inside.  We didn't have the time to tour so this is a quick pic from the pier.

Last but not least, this is Stu.  Unfortunately, Cal knocked us out of the College World Series but we still love our boys and are very proud of them!
